WHAT IS AN IGNITE GRANT?
The Ignite Grant supports projects that engage students in meaningful, hands-on, and innovative educational experiences that make students excited to come to school. Funding may be used to support larger-scale classroom projects, grade-level initiatives, interdisciplinary collaborations, or school-wide experiences that enhance and supplement district-approved curriculum.

QUALIFYING REQUESTS
Ignite Grant projects are meant to supply classrooms with the resources that make students excited to come to school each day.
Projects should:

Increase student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.

Provide authentic, hands-on, and memorable learning experiences.

Support one or more Indiana Academic Standards and enhance existing curriculum rather than replace it.

Encourage creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, exploration, and real-world connections.

Have the potential to impact a large number of students and create lasting benefits.
*In special circumstances, projects that are not directly aligned to a specific Indiana Academic Standard may be considered if the applicant provides a compelling rationale and includes a recommendation from the building principal.
Eligible requests examples include, but are not limited to:

Hands-on STEM, STEAM, and maker education experiences

Project-based learning

School-wide literacy, arts, or enrichment experiences

Guest speakers, performances, and educational experiences

Career exploration and real-world learning opportunities

Interdisciplinary or grade-level collaborative projects

Innovative instructional materials and resources that enhance student engagement

Other projects that inspire curiosity and create excitement for learning
Note: Requests for technology and instructional tools may be considered; however, all technology purchases will require approval from district administration and technology services to ensure compatibility with district systems, security requirements, and implementation guidelines.
