The NACS Education Foundation exists to bridge that gap by connecting community support directly to our schools. Through targeted investments, we fund innovative programs, provide essential classroom resources, and support educators—so teachers are not paying out of pocket and every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
When our community invests in its schools, the impact is felt in every classroom and by every child.
GOALS
Bridge funding and resource gaps not met by traditional school funding
Support educators so they do not feel compelled to self-fund classroom needs
Fund innovative, high-impact programs that enhance learning
Address essential student needs that affect readiness, engagement and success
Strengthen partnerships between schools, families, and the broader community
Ensure equitable access to opportunities for all students
SUPPORT PILLARS
Pillar 1: NACS Ready
Purpose: Provide essential support so students are ready to learn.
Students learn best when their basic needs are met. This pillar focuses on removing barriers that impact attendance, focus, and well-being, ensuring students arrive at school prepared to succeed.
Example Projects
School-based care closets - Stocked with hygiene products, hair care essentials, shoes, coats, socks, gloves, and other critical items
School snack programs - Individually packaged or bulk snacks for buildings with the highest need
Back-to-School Readiness Kits - Supplies to help students start the year prepared
Laundry and Hygiene Access Partnerships - Community partnerships to support student dignity and consistency
Boomerang Backpacks - Annual financial support to sustain and expand the program
